COMPUTER COLLEGE TEACHING CENTER
Starting this fall, most of the Computer College Classes are held in the new Computer Teaching Center (CTC). The old Island Computer Center has been enlarged to accommodate up to 11 student computers in a classroom configuration. Classes have been shortened by 15 minutes so the residents can use the shuttle to the Woodlands. A limited number of courses will be held in the Computer Center/Woodlands. NOTE: Scroll to the bottom to see class listings!
Classes begin January 9th. There are 30 classes. You can get a description of each course by clicking the links in the listing below. Notice in particular the PREREQUISITES for each course. You should only take courses that are at a level that is appropriate for you:
A. Students should not take the next level course until they have satisfactorily completed the lower level course or have equivalent experience. B. It is recommended that you repeat a course before going on to the next level if it has been some time since you have taken a course. You are encouraged to register promptly for courses of your choice. You can either:
Online and paper registrations will be randomized at 4 P.M. on Monday, December 19th, the third day of paper registration. All who have registered by that time will have an equal opportunity to get into a class. After
that, your registration will be processed in the order it was
received. Also, after that time no
new sections will be added so you could more likely be placed on a wait
list.
If there are enough registered for a course for two sections, one
can be added then, not later! Click for course calendar. Click the course on the calendar to get the full title and location. Calendar can also be viewed in weekly or agenda format. (You can also download a pdf or Word version of the brochure by clicking one of the links at the bottom of this page.) Handout material for several current and past courses are available in an online library by clicking here Course Library.
