The hands on part of the course will include the following:

  •        Create a Quicken file and password protecting that file
  •        Review Quicken menus
  •        Create a dummy checking Account
  •        Write checks
  •        Categorize transactions (Use existing or create new ones)
  •        Print checks
  •        Create reports
  •        Reconcile accounts
  •        Save a backup when you close your Quicken file

The demonstration part of the course will include the following:

  •          Activate accounts online
  •          Download transactions
  •          Manage Passwords for your online accounts


Students should have basic computer skills, be familiar with drop down menus, and know how to use left and right mouse clicking.
